SATA3 SSD ~ DRAMeXchange Annual Review
In this year's annual review of SSD by DRAMeXchange, a research division of Trendforce, we test out 32 different 2.5-inch SSDs, including standard SSDs with affordable prices and high-speed SDDs, which are adopted by medium and small size companies and work stations, with several categories (SATA2 with 60GB and 100GB storage and SATA3 with over 100GB storage.)

AS SSD Benchmark 1.6.4013.39530

The new benchmark of SSD is AS SSD Benchmar. This test clearly demonstrates the performance of the SSD under various application environments. We observed the bench with many runs, monitored and analyzed the result, found a rather outstanding performance.
Which one of this sets comes with best read performance?
The answer is OCZ Vertex3 PRO, it comes with very high performance, which uses SandForce SF-2682 controller ic. The follower are OCZ Vertex3 PCBA0636-P (200GB) and ADATA SSD S711, they run very well for read and write task, which uses SandForce SF-2281 and SandForce SF-2582.
CrystalDiskMark 3.0.1

You may notice the OCZ, Adata, SuperSSpeed are higher than others, the SATA3 transfer rate limitation is around 600 MB/s, these SSD could reach above 500MB/s, very impressive. We know these SSD combine with SandForce chips, which use 10 channels to fire up the transfer rate. The dram cache is also a key to reach the ultra speed, data which is reading from their built-in DRAM cache, to help the performance better.
HDTune Pro v4.60

The average benchmark of HD Tune Pro read and write show the average power of each SSD in daily heavy acess task. It combines high and low read/write performance.
Here comes the winner, ADATA SSD S711 and OCZ Vertex3 PRO 200GB.
IOMeter V1.1.0rc

This test which make a clear info of each SSD's controller ic power, and the speed, quality of NAND Flash.
The SandForce series chip won the crown of iops, the OCZ Vertex3 PRO 200GB is the winner.

The 128GB category is the acceptable price range by gamers and enterprise users. Of the 20 varieties of SSDs in the evaluation, we selected 10 products which excel in overall performance, specifications, and have superior product quality. The capacity of these products is suitable for use as the primary hard disk, and their overall system efficiency is also quite impressive. The recommended products are as follows:
The Best SSD of SATA3
Consider the overall performance, the winner is the OCZ Vertex3 PRO 200GB.
The follow performance rankings are:
OCZ Vertex3 PCBA0636-P (240GB)
ADATA SSD S711
Richmax/ SUPERSSPEED SF-D2510TM2MRB 200GB
Crucial m4 CT128M4SSD2
Strontium SRSSDMX-25
The Best Price/performance ratio SSD of SATA3 128GB
The winner is Crucial m4 CT128M4SSD2, which uses Marvell SSD controller ic.
The Best Price/performance ratio SSD of SATA3 200GB
The winner is OCZ Vertex3 PCBA0636-P 240GB.
